BY ROAD
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is situated approximately 3 hours drive from Cape Town. Take the N1 highway from Cape Town, travel through the Huguenot Tunnel, or alternatively use the scenic Du Toits Kloof Pass to Worcester set in the Breede River valley. Travel through the spectacular Robertson valley - the famous Route 62 - synonymous with fine wines, fruit, roses and top horse breeding, farms stalls, wine farms and arts and craft shops, through the Montagu Pass, experiencing the most awe-inspiring rock formations. Pass through the historical town of Montagu, known for its hot springs; approximately 38 km and turn left at the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve sign. The road changes from tar to gravel and the recommended speed limit from then on is 40 km per hour. The main entrance to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is 7km from the main road.
